What better ways are there to build up stamina and endurance than hiking by mountain streams? And, as an extra incentive, one does not bring any food with them!

One exists off the natural bounty for their meals, as an all natural diet, far from polluted rivers of industrialized areas make for the healthiest living. And I know that Americans adore fishing, so what better way to get fit than to combine fitness with pleasure?

Before this women would not even think of coming to me for anything other than my power in government... but now...

Today we have the sad news that 14 US Operatives have been captured in Iran. From Kamangir we hear of the bad news:

According to IRNA, the official Islamic Republic news agency, the national Police chief has implicitly verified the news about the confiscation of a number of squirrels, equipped with eavesdropping devices, on the Iranian borders. He has declined to give any more details, but, reportedly, when asked about the confiscation of 14 spy squirrels, he stated, “I have heard about it, but I do not have precise information”. IRNA adds, “These squirrels were equipped by foreign intelligence services, but were captured two weeks ago by the Police”.

Yes, the time has come to tell of the Secret Squirrel Project!

It was started nearly 40 years ago and was first leaked to the press by accident, and from that we had worries that our best kept secret of the Cold War would escape.

Fortunately no one took the idea seriously and those early agents went on to have some notariety, but their true identities always remained a secret.

With the end of the Cold War, however, these fine agents found themselves without much to do and the test facility, itself, was shut down. With the coming of a new conflict, however, these two would pop up again.

Thus, after the Nation's tragedy the new corps was needed and the recruitment drive begun.

They would come from various parts of the Nation, each with their own skills and abilities. Some were obviously suited to undercover work and espionage.

Some were obviously unafraid of dry environments and working in them.

Others better suited towards communications and observation.

A few would have some rudiments of disguises and had put them to poor use to survive in a cold, cruel world.

Still others would show their ability to sneak through hostile territory.

While others would have the necessary background to not be afraid of some dirty work.

This motley group would soon coalesce under the good leadership of their mentors.

Learning the rudiments of skills necessary for this sort of work.

The hard work and training would begin in many fields, especially ones that would allow for good 'covers' to be made in the ACORN GROUP of photojournalists.
Then the hard training would begin.

Specialized equipment was procured, and agents made sure they knew its uses.

The new design specifications for weapons showed how easily adaptable these fine recruits were to many roles.

After long months of training their first combat missions would come to the fore, and they would be sent off to fight, spy and do all the hard work that humans could not do.

Yes, their battles would be almost unknown to the rest of us, fighting in secret wars in far off lands.

But they would adapt to the climates, conditions and enemies seen, buying time for the Next Generation to be trained.
They were helped by a denizen truly not of their species or of this Earth, but dedicated to Tooth, Justice and the American Way.
And someday, their full story can be told... but only after Justice is won.

[Updating the Update] Let me say this: video of how Hezbollah directs events *for* news cameras now demonstrates the exact problem of 'staging events' to skew the historical record. My thanks to LGF and Charles Johnson where I first saw this item and was thoroughly and absolutely disgusted by the work being done by Hezbollah to rewrite history and events to suit their needs and use the corpse of a child to facilitate this. Repugnant. I still apologize for the my, personal, mis-step. Now perhaps Hezbollah can come CLEAN and do the honorable thing and demonstrate the SAME and own up to their vile and repeated occurances of using corpses as props and manufacturing events so as to make them worse than they really ARE. Once that well of information is poisoned, trust is lost forevermore from it unless those doing the poisoning make amends publicly, explicitly and in-depth and demonstrate that they will adhere to being open and transparent about how, where, when and why information is captured and the conditions under which it is captured.

[Update] This set of photographs now demonstrates rigor mortis for the body in question.... my deepest apologies to all involved and the People of Lebanon. This post will stay up for *historical* purposes so as to demonstrate the problem of the contamination of MSM news with doctored/faked/hoaxed images and for things being staged FOR reporters. This disbelief leads to many things, but the main is the loss of trust in the veracity of news reporting agencies. Some people look for all sorts of signs and signal and portents to tell of when the last days of the universe has arrived. Great things happening in the sky... like a 10 mile wide asteroid coming in at trans-sonic speed.... but that is *so* prosaic.

In times past others looked to malformed births or anomolous weather... and then there is the entire 'wars and rumor of wars' bit, which, for the life of me, can't figure out *when* there haven't been those...

Charismatic leaders have followers take their lives to get to a better one... if you are *lucky* and they don't decide to hasten that day.

Still others look for obscure codes hidden in religious texts, which may or may not give the absolute meaning of The Question To Life, The Universe And Everything... which is absolutely necessary as the answer is 42. But then there are the subtle things, which thankfully can only do their evilness if they go across the globe. And so this is worrying...

Luckily we are safe from this... it is only in Japan...

but that was in 1999....

Well, this post, being the introductory, will need a bit of explaining...

Imagine you were a Danish Imam... and saw a few depictions of Mohommed in a newspaper and you didn't like them... but you really couldn't criticize them for being crude, lewd or socially unacceptable because... well... they were well drawn and slightly humorous. So what to do? Hmmmm... well, maybe if you took copies of them... and put in a few reprehensible things you had cooked up yourself or had a friend photoshop.... and just 'innocently' included them but didn't say anything... why guild by association!! Smear the paper for things it didn't do!

Yes! That's the ticket!!!

Take tour... Middle East erupts in furor... Embassies burned, mobs crying out for more jihad... leave your job, well done! And then your successor can bask in the joy of berating the infidels in Denmark...

And when the jig is up, it is found out that one of the pictures is not about Mohommed, not about a Muslim but... is the winner of a FRENCH PIG PARTY!!!

Also a bit unfortunate is an Egyptian newspaper publishing the actual cartoons before they could be slandered. And that some in the Middle East just don't really understand why some of their less smart brothers are being misled....

And then those damn infidels actually SUPPORT Denmark!
